Elizabeth A. Martin and Associates believes each individual has an authentic leadership style waiting to be discovered and developed. We also believe real leadership is a combination of an individual’s personal and professional traits, characteristics, values, and behaviors, and that leadership styles differ among individuals. For this reason, our programs are designed to meet each client’s individual goals and needs. By design, our clients emerge as authentic and powerful leaders.

 Methods Used
Authentic leaders lead from their hearts and with their minds. As Albert Einstein cautioned, “We should take care not to make the intellect our God. It has, of course, powerful muscles, but no personality. It cannot lead, it can only serve.”

Elizabeth A. Martin and Associates uses methods that develop the client's mind to apply his/her authentic leadership style to produce results and the client’s heart to inspire and motivate.

Given today's research findings regarding leadership development, we believe our approach advances our clients from simply knowing the results of their career assessments to applying this knowledge to achieve sustained results in the workplace.

Scientifically Based Assessment Tools
The first step in our program is to gain an understanding of our clients. We want to know our clients’ professional goals, job responsibilities, work challenges, and current level of self awareness and self management. We listen carefully during interviews with clients and, if appropriate, with the clients' supervisor and/or other relevant team members to gather initial information that will lead to the next step – selecting the most appropriate scientifically based assessment instruments for the client.

“One size does Not fit all.” Elizabeth A. Martin and Associates believes this to be true when selecting assessment instruments for our clients. We select the assessment instruments based on what was learned about the client during the interview. 

We believe working from several instruments insures a more accurate interpretation of an individual’s leadership style. The good news is we customize our work. Customized assessments truly benefit our clients, and represent one aspect of our program that assists our clients in becoming more effective without adding expense to the program.

Professional Growth Model for Leadership Development©
Elizabeth A Martin and Associates copyrighted a Professional Growth Model for Leadership Development© that serves as the basis for each client's customized leadership program. The model consists of five phases through which each client is carefully guided as they develop their authentic leadership style. 

Results from the interviews and the assessment instruments are woven into each phase and provide tremendous insight for the client, causing light bulbs to turn on and powerful moments of “Ah Ha!” Working through this model, over time, provides the critical steps to sustain real leadership behavior.
Integrated Learning Systems
Integrated learning requires active participation from our clients and individualized attention from us. Elizabeth A. Martin and Associates creates unique and active learning experiences that are meaningful and fun allowing our clients to apply valuable information about themselves and their leadership style to their business goals and work environment. 
Applying integrated learning within our Professional Growth Model for Leadership Development© builds our clients’ self esteem as they experience the power and success of their authentic leadership style. We work closely with our clients providing reinforcement, feedback and lots of sincere support as they learn. 
Our years of experience both in graduate level teaching and in administrative leadership roles in challenging corporate environments prepared us to offer this advanced method of learning. Our knowledge of adult learning principles, neuroanatomy and physiology, as they relate to leadership development and learning makes us unique and extremely effective in the field of coaching and leadership development.

Supportive Coaching Environment
Our coaching sessions are provided in a supportive, comfortable, and private environment. All client relationships are confidential. 

If coaching is performed onsite in the corporate setting, every attempt is made to reproduce privacy, and comfort in a supportive learning environment.
